The construction of new surface water management structures is now almost complete at Katfish Reach. Banks K and N as well as south Arm Road Crossing and Eckert Creek Bridge have been completed.
Eckert Creek Log Crossing has had the concrete piers and walls finished, the bridge decks are now on and the boards to control the flow of water are being installed. Completion of all structures should occur by the end of August 2015.
South Arm Road Crossing
This structure is now complete. The boards have been tested and it is open to the public.
The creek level will be lowered to ensure better flow down Eckerts Creek and the road is being realigned to accommodate larger vehicles.
Eckert Creek Bridge
The new bridge has been completed, however is not open for public use until the roads leading to the new structure have been realigned. The old bridge is currently still in place but plans to remove it are underway.
Eckert Creek Log Crossing
Work is progressing well at Log Crossing. The bridge deck is now in place and the contractors are backfilling around the walls of the structure. Completion date has been extended to late July 2015.
